I was so looking forward to this year's New Year's Eve, as I finally had a date for it!! But the weather had other plans for my NYE. I was delayed 3 hours at the Humphrey Terminal in Minneapolis on NYE, so that meant I did not get back to my apartment in Chicago until 9:30pm. I didn't think it would be wise to be on the road as parties were ending and bars were closing. So I was in bed before the stroke of midnight.
Because then I was on the road at 5am on New Year's Day to see my sweetie in Indianapolis. While AJ had to work during that weekend, we did have some quality time together. He also surprised me by coming back to Chicago with me and staying for a couple of days. So while my NYE did not go exactly as planned, it was a wonderful way to bring in the new year! I'm very excited for what this year holds for me - both personally and professionally - and what this year has in store for my family and friends.Happy New Year!
