Back in August, I made my way up to Duluth, MN for our 10th annual visit to the Bayfront Blues Fest. The trip started with my arrival on Thursday night and I was able to spend Friday morning cuddling with little giggle-meister Logan (Dawn and Helge's boy).
Then Dawn and Helge and I made the road trip up to Duluth. Of course there was much smart talk and a pretty competitive hour with the crossword. Why were all my answers written "lightly"?
It was a very typical MN weekend...about 40 degrees and overcast on Saturday, but then 80 degrees and sunny - actually got sunburned. Crazy.
The Blues Fest once again did not disappoint. So many excellent musicians....Otis Taylor was my favorite of the weekend. You should check him out!But the best part of the weekend was spending time with best friends and enjoying some of our favorite Duluth-Superior locations. Like Anchor Bar for the most amazing jalapeno burger. Or Pizza Luce for brunch and a fab Bloody Mary bar. The best moments of life!
