Happy Mother's Day

This post is so late!! But I hope all of you mother's enjoyed your special day a few weeks back. My mom and I enjoyed the day together by walking in the Race for the Cure. It is so inspiring to be with the tens of thousands of people gathered to celebrate the survivors and remember those that we have lost to breast cancer.

Are You Ready for Some Football...er, Baseball?

My first Cubs game of the season happened to be this past Tuesday. Little did I know when I agreed to go to the game that it was going to be a balmy 35 degrees out. So I bundled up in long underwear (yes on April 29, I was wearing that!!), multiple layers, and my winter jacket. We all gathered around 6pm and went to Casey Moran's for a pre-game pint. Worst Guinness pour I've ever seen, but at least I was in good company.

Then our group proceeded to our rooftop. That's right, it was my first rooftop experience - which I highly recommend. If you can afford it, this is the way to go....unlimited brews, brats at the beginning of the game, then hamburgers in the 4th inning, and most importantly, private bathrooms! And the view!!!

Here are a few pics from the game. And just so you know, we stayed out on the rooftop the entire game. There were 40+ people in the enclosed room below us during the game. Wimps!

GO CUBS!
